What I lead

Most of my week isn’t spent picking frameworks. It’s spent making sure the right teams ship the right things — on platforms that millions of customers actually use.

At Newfold Digital, I lead engineering for high-traffic, customer-facing web properties across brands like BigRock, ResellerClub, HostGator, Bluehost, Network Solutions. That’s blogs, storefronts, domain tools, and the shared platform work that keeps them running when traffic spikes and deadlines don’t move.

I sit between product pressure, engineering reality, and long-term platform health. My job is to turn that tension into delivery — without burning out the team or the architecture.

People and delivery

I lead 2 engineering teams — roughly 8 Engineers — working across 5+ brand properties. Some weeks that means unblocking an architecture debate. Other weeks it’s aligning three workstreams that all need the same platform change.

I care about clear ownership, honest status, and teams that know why they’re building something — not just the Jira ticket. I hire and grow engineers, run delivery rhythms that fit remote and hybrid teams, and step in on technical decisions when the cost of getting it wrong is high.

If my teams are shipping predictably and getting sharper over time, I’m doing my job.

Platform strategy across brands

Newfold isn’t a single product company. It’s a portfolio. Shared patterns matter: multi-tenant thinking, reusable standards, and knowing when to build once vs. when a brand truly needs its own path.

I help set that direction what we standardize, what we migrate, what we retire. Recent focus areas include modernizing customer facing platforms, tightening how teams share components and practices, and keeping architecture honest about scale: traffic, tenants, releases, and operational cost.

The goal isn’t the cleverest design. It’s the one our teams can operate for years.

Cloud migration and reliability

Moving to OCI wasn’t a weekend project. It was a multi-year leadership problem.

A big slice of my work has been leading cloud modernization — Oracle Cloud Infrastructure migrations across multiple brands and properties. That means sequencing risk, coordinating platform and product teams, and keeping production stable while the ground shifts underneath.

On the delivery side, I push for automation that matches the scale CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, observability. Not because Jenkins or Grafana is the story — but because teams at this scale can’t afford heroics on every release.

Reliability here isn’t a dashboard. It’s whether a customer notices when we deploy.

Performance as a business outcome

Performance showed up as a number. It left as a trust problem.

One initiative I’m proud of leading the revamp of a major domain management platform. PageSpeed scores went from under 40 to 90+ — but the real win was broader: faster experiences for customers, less firefighting for engineers, and a platform team that could iterate again instead of apologizing for load times.

I treat Core Web Vitals and performance engineering as leadership priorities, not side quests. When SEO, product, and engineering align on speed, you feel it in conversion, support tickets, and team morale.

I still understand the stack deeply enough to challenge a design or unblock a production issue. But I measure myself on what my teams deliver, how the platform holds up under traffic, and whether engineers want to keep building here.
